Maui Whale Watching Cruise (“we”, “us”) is an independent guide to Maui whale-watching cruises. We do not sell tours and we do not take bookings. When you follow a link to book, you leave this site and book on Viator or GetYourGuide. Hotel links on the site go through Stay22 to a hotel booking site. This page explains what that means for your data.

Bookings are processed by the platform you book on

Your name, contact details and payment details are collected by the platform where you complete the booking, under that platform’s own privacy policy:

  • Tour bookings on Viator: Viator Privacy Policy
  • Tour bookings on GetYourGuide: GetYourGuide Privacy Policy
  • Hotel bookings: Stay22 passes you to a hotel booking site, such as Expedia, whose privacy policy applies once you are there. Stay22’s own privacy policy covers the redirect.

The tour operator also receives the details it needs to run your trip, such as your name and party size.

What this website collects

We keep this to a minimum.

  • Affiliate tracking: when you click a link to Viator, GetYourGuide or a hotel site, the link carries our partner ID and a campaign label so the platform can credit us with a commission if you book. The platform, not us, sets any cookies needed for that.
  • GetYourGuide widgets: some pages show a GetYourGuide availability box or tour list, and a small GetYourGuide script loads on every page to run them and to measure clicks for its partner program. GetYourGuide may set cookies when it loads.
  • Stay22 maps: some pages may show a map of places to stay, loaded from Stay22.
  • Email: if you write to us, we receive your email address and your message, and use them only to reply.

We do not collect payment details, booking references, passport or ID numbers, or your precise location, and we do not sell personal data.

Cookies

This site does not set its own advertising cookies. The third-party services above (Viator, GetYourGuide and Stay22) may set cookies when you click through to them or when their widgets load. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site’s guides still work without them, though booking boxes may not.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete personal data held about you, or to object to how it is used.

  • For booking data, contact the platform you booked on (Viator or GetYourGuide), or the hotel booking site, using the details in your confirmation email.
  • For anything you sent us by email, write to info@mauiwhalewatchingcruise.com and we will answer within 30 days.

Data retention

We keep emails for up to two years, or delete them sooner if you ask.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Bookings must be made by an adult.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
