Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
Maui Whale Watching Cruise is an independent guide that compares whale-watching cruises on Maui. By using the site you accept these terms.
We are not a booking platform or a tour operator
We do not run tours, sell tickets or take payment. Links to tours send you to Viator or GetYourGuide, where you book and pay. Hotel links go through Stay22 to a hotel booking site. Each tour is run by an independent operator, such as the Pacific Whale Foundation, Quicksilver or Redline Rafting.
When you book, you enter into an agreement with the booking platform and the operator, under their terms:
- Viator Terms and Conditions
- GetYourGuide General Terms and Conditions
- For hotels, the terms of the booking site you are sent to.
Your confirmation and voucher come from the platform you booked on.
Prices, availability and tour details
We check prices, departure points, season dates, inclusions and restrictions against each listing, and say when we last checked (currently October 2026). They can change at any time. The price, time, meeting point and conditions shown on Viator or GetYourGuide at checkout, and on your voucher, are the ones that apply. Some operators add tax or fees at checkout.
Whale sightings depend on wild animals and the weather. Nothing on this site promises that you will see whales, a breach or a close approach, and federal rules require every boat to stay at least 100 yards from humpback whales. Sighting guarantees, where a listing offers one, are the operator’s policy, on the operator’s terms.
Cancellations, changes and refunds
Cancellation terms vary by tour and are shown on each listing; most tours on this site offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure on Viator, and some GetYourGuide listings ask for 2 days. We cannot cancel, change or refund a booking. Contact the platform you booked on (Viator or GetYourGuide), or the operator, using the details in your confirmation email.
Operators may cancel or change a trip for weather, sea conditions, harbor access or safety. What happens next is set by the operator’s and the platform’s policies.
Responsibility
The operator is responsible for running the trip safely and as described, including boarding, crew, equipment and safety briefings. Follow the crew’s instructions on board.
This site gives general information to help you choose. We are not liable for the conduct of operators or booking platforms, for changes they make, or for loss, injury or damage during a tour. Check age limits, health restrictions and boarding conditions on the listing before you book, and ask the operator if you are unsure.
Affiliate links
We earn a commission when you book through our links, at no extra cost to you. See our affiliate disclosure.
Content and trademarks
Text on this site is ours unless stated. Tour names, operator names and trademarks belong to their owners. Tour photos come from the booking platforms’ listings.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
